Ronald Reagan Presidential Library - Simi Valley, California

Built to Withstand the Test of Time

In 1990 Peck/Jones Brothers Construction Corporation selected Wood Art Design to build twenty-two towering teak doors for one simple reason:

They knew Wood Art Design's expert craftsmen would deliver on both beauty and durability.

These doors had to built for a lifetime of use, being able to withstand throngs of daily visitors, harsh exposure to direct sunlight, high winds and rain.

  • Twenty-two exterior teak doors withstanding throngs of visitors, daily exposure direct sunlight, high winds and rain for twenty two years - they are as beautiful today as when they were installed twenty two years ago.
  • Grain-matched epoxy resin laminated construction - introduced on the market by Wood Art Design in 1990.
  • Ten foot long by four inch thick teak planks were sliced ¾” thick. Four planks planed and epoxy resin rejoined creating our specialty grain matched "Sandwich" four layer thick construction.
  • Durability was job #1 as the United States government must maintain the complex for "eternity."
