Timeless Architectural Inspiration

The three story Southern California residence of Barry Simon was inspired from the owner's visit to Falling Water, a 1939 National Historic Landmark and architectural treasure designed by Frank Lloyd Wright.

Wood Art Design's expertise was brought in to create hard to find custom door and window styles from the Falling Water era.

In addition the company provided "Total Home" solutions, including matching wood and hardware throughout the interior and exterior.

• Custom grain matched koa hardwood kitchen covering three continuous walls.
• Over 4000 s/f T&G rosewood plank flooring throughout the home extending out to the patio and pool deck areas.
• Bathroom vanities each with unique custom design.
• Grand entrance Ten foot high x five foot wide carved pivot doors.
• Ten foot high full corner windows with 90 degree polished beveled glass.
• Bronze clad ten foot high lift and slide slider doors.
• Seven pivot doors - two over ten foot high exterior and and three interior doors.
• Three sets of ten foot high folding doors ten foot high. Each door is bronze clad 2-3/4" thick koa wood.
• Stainless steel stair case railings, rosewood stair caps and two inch thick rosewood treads though out the residence.
• Exterior pool railing and front railing in matching bronze.
• Custom bronze clad stainless steel front gate fabricated in keeping with Frank Loyd Wright's gate design.
• Bronze clad koa garage doors.
